Licensed complex less than third of Ramla site -
Ahead of tomorrow's protest march in Valletta against the Ramla l-Hamra and other development projects in Gozo, the National Trust Din l-Art Helwa revealed that whereas MEPA had granted a permit for the redevelopment of "the existing commercial complex" known as 'Ulysses Lodge', the licensed part of the complex constitutes less than one third (32 per cent) of the 8,000 m2 site covered by the permit.

Din l-Art Helwa presented this pie-chart, stating that since 68 per cent of the site, consisting of undeveloped land, structures built without a permit, a villa and rural dwellings, does not strictly form part of the licensed complex, it should therefore not have been approved for redevelopment.
