Solve Ramla's problems (letters) -
Sunday, July 8, 2007

Ms Carmen Studley, Xaghra, Gozo.

I do hope the government will interfere with the Ramla permit and help to solve the more important problems in that area.

Why don't they help to fix the Trunciera, the Roman villa, before the stones start falling and possibly injure someone. There are also the Roman steps leading from Ramla to Calypso that have been cleaned up and will now belong to the developer.

Keep the place clean and have a warden or police officer in the summer to ensure boats do not come past the buoys and endanger swimmers. Finally, we need a temporary walkway of planks to allow access for the disabled to our lovely beach. This is what the locals and the tourists want, not more building sites destroying our natural habitat.
