Councillor submits 'proof' for withdrawal of permit at Ramla -
A detailed report has been submitted to the Malta Environment and Planning Authority demanding the withdrawal of the outline planning permit for the development of villas at Ulysses Lodge, in Ramla Bay.

The report was prepared by environment planning consultant Lino Bianco on behalf of Carmen Bajada, a resident and a Xaghra local councillor.

It includes "proof" that the planning application subject to which the outline permit was issued contained information that was "false, misleading or incorrect", which information had a material bearing on the issue of the planning permit.

A number of applications for development on the site had been made in the past and were refused but these were not declared in the planning application for this development - as should have been, so they were not consulted by Mepa during the planning process.

Mr Bianco claimed he submitted proof that half the area for the proposed complex of dwelling units, declared as "developed and disturbed land", was not covered by a development permit.

He officially requested Mepa to annul the outline planning permit issued at Ramla, rendering the full development planning permit for the same development proposal null and void.
